The Social Justice Leadership Center supports, advocates, and educates the University of Arizona and greater community in the areas of inequality and social injustices found in our society. The SJLC looks at how socially constructed actual and perceived identities are formed, supported, and perpetuated over time and how we can learn from the distribution of power, privilege, and oppression.

The Diversity Resource Office (DRO) opened in May 2003 to work collaboratively with all the University of Arizona constituencies to advance diversity initiatives into every aspect of the university. The DRO is overseen by the Vice President and Senior Associate to the President. The primary work of the DRO is to facilitate the implementation of the Diversity Action Plan and monitor its progress. In conjunction with work on the plan, the DRO provides direct support to the Diversity Coalition, the Millennium Report Oversight Committee (MROC), the Commission on the Status of Women, and the Millennium Project Action Committee (MPAC).
