Parking and Transportation

Photo of a CatTran shuttleParking permits are required to park in any UA lot or garage. Parking permits are sold through the office of UA Parking and Transportation only. It is common to have a waiting list for parking permits each year. Apply early or you may not get a parking permit. Check out the campus map of all parking lots and garages [PDF].

Residence Life does not control any parking lots or parking assignments. Many students do not bring a car to campus and prefer to ride their bicycles around campus. There is also a free CatTran shuttle available to most campus buildings and you can ride the Sun Tran (city bus to get around town.) Contact Parking and Transportation for more information and permits or call (520) 626-PARK (7275). The Parking and Transportation office is located at 1117 E. 5th Street.

ASUA Safe Ride is located in the Student Union Memorial Center and provides a free service for students who are traveling on campus at night. They also provide workshops on campus safety. For more information review the website or call 621-7233.

Dining and Meal Plans

Since meals and dining are not included in your housing, there are various options. The apartment style living environment in La Aldea with a full kitchen, allows you to cook meals in the comfort of your home. Please bring your own cookware and dishes. LaAldea does not provide pots, pans, plates, silverware etc.

Food selections include: pizza, wraps, soups, salads, burgers, omelets, fresh fruits and much more. Two UA markets also include a variety of organic food items. Healthy food and vegetarian options are available all over campus. Students may grab fast food or sit down to a hot buffet style meal. Choose a meal plan which best suits your needs and price range. Your meal plan will determine the amount of money placed on your CatCard account to purchase meals. For complete dining and meal plan information check out “where to eat on campus” or call 520-621-7043. They are located at the Student Union Memorial Center, 1st Floor.
