Getting Involved

Nearly 80% of the University’s students join a campus organization. Some groups are small and informal, some are large and intense. But every group serves as a second home. It’s a place to go when you need to be with people who share your passions, or spark new ones. Even without thinking about it, you’ll develop skills like teamwork and leadership.
The following organizations and committees allow graduate students to make a tangible impact on campus and be involved in university policy decisions.
Graduate and Professional Student Council
The Graduate & Professional Student Council (GPSC) is the representative body for grad students at the UA. It is the voice of grad student concerns regarding campus and academic issues. GPSC also organizes activities and disburses funds for grad student travel and other grad student activities.
25+ Cats
If you’re returning to school after many years or just beginning your college career, The Center for Student Involvement & Leadership and 25+ Cats welcomes you! Non-Traditional Students may work full or part-time, be married, single, or divorced and may or may not have family members to support. The point is, your approach to your academic life may be different than that of the 18-24 year olds on campus. The 25+ Cats Program offers support to aid you in making your academic endeavors a little easier through resources, advocacy, programming, recognition, and assistance.
Campus Involvement
Whether your interests are social, academic or athletic, the UA has something for everyone. Not only do clubs and organizations enhance campus life at the UA, they provide students with a great way to build skills, get connected to campus, and make long lasting friendships.
For more information on organizations and getting involved, contact the Center for Student Involvement and Leadership or check out the list of registered student organizations.
