Video Game Consoles
You may use game consoles in the residence halls, but please remember that The University of Arizona’s network is provided for academic purposes. Connections to game servers can be made from your console to the internet but no server may be hosted on the Residence Life network. You must register the MAC address of your console before connecting it to the wired network. Instruction on how to find the MAC address of a game console can be found here. Once you have found the MAC address, the registration process is the same one used to connect a computer to the wired network (see Internet Connections). Residence Life does not provide support for connecting or troubleshooting game consoles.
UITS has provide some additional information on connecting devices in the residence halls.
