Location of Halls

If you will be a new freshman, your classes will be located in buildings all over the campus, regardless of your major.  Consequently, choosing residence halls based on your major will not make much sense.  For example, freshmen Pre-Business majors will have very few, if any, classes in McClelland Hall (home of the Eller College).

Residence Halls are broken down into three areas of campus:

East Area

Nine residence halls make up the East Area residential community, located in the Highland Avenue area of campus near the Main Library, Student Recreation Center, Arizona Stadium, Campus Health Services and Highland Market.

North Area

Eight residence halls make up the North Area residential community.  Residence halls in this area are more dispersed north of the central “mall” area of campus, from the east edge of campus to the west edge.  There are residence halls in this area of campus located near the Arizona Health Sciences Center, University of Arizona Police Department (UAPD), main Student Union, Fine Arts complex and McClelland Hall (Eller College).

West Area

Six residence halls make up the West Area residential community, located in the southwest area of campus near Park Student Union, University Blvd./Main Gate Square, Arizona State Museum and Centennial Hall.
