The Basics

When are rental rates for next school year determined?

Spring: The Arizona Board of Regents typically approves rates for next school year in March or April.

When will I be charged for next school year’s rent?

Mid-July: We charge Fall semester rent in mid-July and Spring semester rent in mid-December. We only charge you IF we have assigned you to a room. If you haven’t gotten your assignment as of mid-July, you will not be charged in mid-July!

Where is rent charged?

UA account: We charge rent to your UA account.

How do I pay rent?

UAccess Student Center: You make payments for charges to your UA account in the UAccess Student Center.  Never used UAccess? Click here for instructions on making a payment.

When is rent due?

Day 1 of class: Fall rent is due by the first day of class in the Fall semester. Spring rent is due by the first day of class in the Spring semester.

Campus Housing Rent Payment Plan

The University of Arizona offers a Campus Housing Rent Payment Plan for the Fall and/or Spring semesters, similar to the University’s Tuition Payment Plan.

Who can enroll in the Campus Housing Rent Payment Plan?

Undergrads for academic year housing: The Campus Housing Payment Plan is not available for Summer Sessions or Graduate Housing.

How many payments do I make in the payment plan?

3 per semester: You will be billed in three installments for each semester.

Is there a fee for the Campus Housing Rent Payment Plan?

No: Unlike the UA Tuition Payment Plan, Residence Life does not charge a fee for the housing payment plan.

Can I enroll in a payment plan for other housing charges?

No: The Campus Housing Rent Payment Plan only applies to housing rent. You pay all other housing-related charges and fees on their specific due dates and/or in accordance with the University Bursar’s Office Payment Policies. For example, you pay the non-refundable housing application fee within 72 hours after the charge is posted to your UA account.

How do I sign up for the housing payment plan?

UAccess Student Center: Go to UAccess. Under the “Finances” tab, select “Account Inquiry.” Then, select the “Account Services” tab.

When do I sign up?

After rent is charged: Each semester, you enroll in the payment plan after rent has been charged to your UA account but before tuition is due (tuition payment deadline) to avoid late payment fees.

Do I need to sign up for the rent payment plan if I get financial aid?

Not necessarily: If your financial aid (loans, grants, scholarships, sponsorship, waivers or qualified tuition reduction) covers all your tuition and campus housing rent for the semester, you don’t need to enroll in the Campus Housing Payment Plan.
