Graduate Community Director Position Description

The University of Arizona Residential Education Team is looking for well-balanced & self-motivated Graduate students to work with a dynamic Residential Life Program, where the focus is on teaching, serving and caring about residents and staff within our inclusive community.

Located in the city of Tucson, within a multicultural population that reflects the richness of the Southwest, The University of Arizona is a public, land grant institution established in 1885 that has a current enrollment of over 36,000 students. The Department of Residence Life serves over 6,000 students who reside in 22 residence halls.

Responsibilities:

Resources include: Office, computer, printer, E-mail and voice mail.

Qualifications:A Bachelor's degree and acceptance into any UA graduate degree program are required for employment. Experience in Residence Life or related Student Affairs is preferred.

Ten Month Contract Approximate Start date: July 7, 2008

Benefits: $10,536 salary, student health insurance(begins Mid-August), out-of-state tuition waiver(Grads are required to pay instate tuition - $800/semester on average), furnished apartment, $1,500 meal for the year, and $300 professional development allowance, University parking worth $235, US Mail P.O. Box, laundry allowance and University Bookstore discount.
