MacOS Configuration and Adapter Address
MacOS X
- From the Apple Menu choose System Preferences, then Network.
- Select the TCP/IP tab.
- Set the Configure selection to Built-in Ethernet.
- Set the second Configure: selection to Using DHCP. The line labeled "Ethernet
Address" has your hardware/adapter address listed as a series of letters and numbers in six nodes of two, separated by colons (e.g., 00:B1:15:A6:D0:C5). All
other fields should be blank.
Write the hardware/adapter address down. You will need it to register your computer. - Click Save to save the changes to your current configuration.
- Close the Network control panel.
You are now ready to register your computer.
MacOS 10.4
- Click on the Apple and then System Preferences.
- Click on Network.
- Select the Ethernet tab.
- Locate your hardware address - it will be labeled “Ethernet ID”; this is what you will need to register your computer.
You are now ready to register your computer.
