Campus Housing Reassignment Request
The reassignment request process is available to you if you wish to request a change in your Fall semester housing assignment (building, room type or both). The following terms govern reassignment requests:
- A reassignment request will be accepted only if you have confirmed your current assignment. In order for your current assignment to be considered ";confirmed," you must have completed all of the following:
- Your University Enrollment Deposit
- Your License Agreement, and
- Your Confirmation Rent Payment, regardless of when they are due.
- Accommodating reassignment requests is not guaranteed. As with initial assignments, reassignment requests are accommodated based on a combination of 1) your housing application date (submitting a reassignment request does not change this date), 2) any mutual roommate requests you may have, and 3) space availability. The chances of a reassignment request being accommodated are improved the earlier such a request is received and accepted.
- Reassignment requests are accepted until July 1. No further reassignments will be made after room and roommate assignments are released in mid-July.
- Unaccommodated reassignment requests do not automatically become hall transfer requests in August. If you would still like to request a change after you have checked in, you may submit a hall transfer request on the Residence Life website after 5:00 PM on the official campus housing "opening day" in August (not the “early” check-in day).
