Engineering Zone

A Living-Learning Experience
The Engineering Living-Learning Community in Gila Hall brings together first-year engineering undergraduate students, helping them develop their skills as future members of the profession, while giving them a real sense of belonging to the Engineering College. Students will have the opportunity to form a cohort of peers who attend classes together, receive guidance from a faculty member, pursue social networking among the UA engineering community and explore the engineering professions.
Residence hall activities will offer students many opportunities to interact with faculty members, industry mentors, engineering clubs and the many engineering-related activities on the UA campus.
This co-ed residence floor also is designed to help students improve academic performance and to maintain a high level of scholastic achievement. Preference is given to non-honors students.
