Fine Arts Wings at Manzanita-Mohave

You're invited to join this engaging and thriving community, jointly sponsored by Residence Life and the College of Fine Arts.

Imagine a floor where all the arts are openly expressed – residents singing, playing musical instruments, rehearsing their lines, or painting canvases. You can be a part of this living-learning community at Manzanita-Mohave Hall.

The community was established in 2002, and has grown from a single wing to an entire floor. It is open to students with a major in the College of Fine Arts; music, theater, dance, fine art, visual media, photography or architecture, or for those with an interest in the arts. The community is a beehive of activity ranging from mural painting to attending performances on campus and in the community.

Programs and Services

One thing that makes the Fine Arts Community a great place to live is Faculty Fellow Dr. Mikelle Omari. An art historian, “Dr. O” delights in taking students to live performances by artists from all over the world. Other resources and services include:

"My goal is to perform in New York or on screen-be versatile. It's so inspiring to hear others practice. There are so many talented people here. The bond is great, like a fraternity.”

“This community made me feel more confident about coming to the UA. You instantly have something in common. We go to each other's performances all the time and support our hall-mates and they do the same for me. Living here teaches you to accept people's art, we're all different, but the same in so many ways. You will make so many close friendships here.”
