Living-Learning and Theme Communities

Start Out with Something in Common
This is your chance to be a part of an exciting and meaningful residence
hall community. You are invited to live with students who share similar personal or academic interests and goals.
To be eligible to live in a Living-Learning or Theme Community, you must first submit your housing application and application fee.
Honors Communities
Honors students are eligible to live in one of three Honors Residential Colleges (Posada San Pedro, Yavapai, Yuma). These halls are in high demand, so we encourage you to list them as your first three hall preferences. You will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
Theme Floors
Live with students who share similar interests and goals simply by listing the hall and theme floor as your first preference on your housing application. Assignments are made on a first come, first served basis.
- Fine Arts floor - Manzanita-Mohave Hall
- Health Professions floor - Graham-Greenlee Hall
Living-Learning Communities with Specific Themes*
Sponsored living-learning communities with specific themes require you to contact the appropriate college or department to apply. You must first submit your housing application and application fee. Each living-learning community is located on a wing of a specific hall and is limited in size. See details below:
- Blue Chip Leadership Residential College at Pima Hall
- Eller College Pre-Business Wing at Colonia de la Paz Hall
- Engineering Zone at Gila Hall
- MOSAIC Multicultural Experience at Manzanita-Mohave Hall
- O'odham Ki Wing for Native American students at Kaibab-Huachuca Hall
- Women in Science, Engineering, Math and Technology (WISE) at Gila Hall
If you have already applied or been assigned to a hall but now wish to change to one of the theme communities above, you may request a reassignment until July 1 on the Campus Housing Reassignment Request page. This will override all other housing preferences on your application, but your application date will remain the same.
