What is MOSAIC?

MOSAIC- an acronym that stands for Making Our Space An Inclusive Community- is a Living Learning Community (LLC) housed in Manzanita-Mohave Hall at The University of Arizona. MOSAIC is intended for first-year students who are interested in the promotion of issues related to diversity and multiculturalism.

MOSAIC residents are strongly encouraged to enroll in our course-in-common-TRAD 104: Love and World Religions-taught by the MOSAIC Faculty Fellow, Dr. Alex Nava.

The Benefits

The primary goal of the MOSAIC LLC is to raise awareness of and facilitate discussion about issues of race, social justice, class and ethnicity in such as way that promotes the formation of an inclusive and safe campus culture and learning environment in which each member of the University community is welcomed and valued. As such, students will be encouraged and supported through the exploration of their identity and those of others. Past MOSAIC residents include students from Multicultural Affairs and Student Success programs such as The New Start Summer Program, African American Student Affairs 360 Scholars Program, University of Arizona Hispanic Alumni Scholars, the MERITS Program, and Student Support Services/TRiO among others.Leadership development through the Residence Hall Council -social and community events
