Arizona-Sonora Hall

Arizona-Sonora is a double tower, nine-story high-rise. The two towers connect on the first floor lobby to create one residence hall. Although “AZSO” is a large hall, students feel a strong sense of community and hall pride. Each floor has a lounge for study and recreation. A popular gathering area is a large recreation lounge with pool table located on the main floor. All floors in Arizona-Sonora are single gender.
IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR 2007-2008: We anticipate the largest freshman class for the Fall semester 2007. In order to accommodate more students, rooms in the Arizona Tower of Arizona-Sonora residence hall will be triple occupancy. We selected Arizona because the rooms were originally built to house four students. The hall was remodeled extensively in 2004 and 2005 and includes new student furniture, new bathrooms and community areas. The rent for a triple in this popular hall is significantly lower than most other halls: $4,189 for the academic year per person. If you are interested, please indicate a triple at Arizona-Sonora on your hall preferences.
If you have already applied for housing, and wish to change your preferences as a result of these updates, please email housing@life.arizona.edu or print and submit the preference change form.
