Colonia de la Paz Hall

La Paz is a beautiful and spacious open-air building that is home
to 482 first-year and upperclassmen. The multiple courtyards, study rooms,
lounges, kitchens, and game rooms provide nearly every accommodation that a
resident might need to succeed. In addition to being home to the Eller
Pre-Business Living-Learning Community, La Paz offers many study rooms to help
students excel academically in any area of concentration. Located near
the Student Rec Center, Highland Market, and sports complexes,
there is always something exciting going on in and around La Paz.”
- Laura Tripp, Former Complex Director

Colonia de la Paz, commonly known as La Paz, is a three-story hall uniquely designed with multiple courtyards and Southwest artifacts. Open hallways, study "bridges," small alcoves, and balcony areas are among the architectural features. Many of the resident rooms overlook two large and four small courtyards, each with different landscaping. Study, lounge, meeting, and game/recreation rooms are very popular. Room types vary between singles and traditional doubles with some single rooms available. La Paz has single-gender and co-ed wings. A pre-business wing is reserved for students in the Eller College of Management, and a pre-education wing for students in the College of Education.
Rooms vary in size, design, and layouts. Assignments to particular rooms are random. The views provided here are only examples; your assigned room may not be identical.
